This was a great snorkeling beach. I can't remember the name but most people called it Turtle Beach. There is a family of turtles that live there. I was fascinated by them and they weren't afraid to come close to you. I think Olivia walked on water the first time one swam right by her. They were so beautiful!
I love this picture. Mimi was so tired after most of our adventures she'd pretty much crash anywhere. She had literally been playing right before and within minutes she was passed out on the living room floor.
The girls in their hawaiian sundresses. Olivia loved this dress so much that she wore it straight for 3 days/3 nights and would only take it off to wear her swimsuit.
We decided to do a snorkeling trip. To our surprise both girls enjoyed it so much. They were both not sure at first but by the end Olivia was in the ocean no life vest just her goggles swimming looking at fish...I was so impressed. I guess the benefits of swim team are paying off!
Hapuna Beach...our favorite. This is where the swim part of the course took place too. It's a large beach so even if it was busy you feel very secluded. The water is perfect for kids and as you can see the sand is so soft.
Building the biggest sand castle ever...which ended up being just a really tall wall and the water eventually came up to knock it over.
David did awesome in his first half-ironman distance race of the season. He came in at 5:32. The heat was more than he's trained for but he looked pretty strong throughout the race.

No bike picture...we were having a potty break and of course missed him. He was a lot faster than I was thinking he'd be...he likes when I say that too!
This was part of the run course. We waited underneath the shade at the outdoor restaurant enjoying our lunch and watching the runners melt in the hot sun. Again, I missed David on this part of the course.
Here he comes with just enough energy to give the girls high fives.
ALOHA...after a LONG day of traveling we are settled in to our awe inspiring digs in Kona, Hawaii! The girls did awesome and literally have been going all day. They finally crashed at 8PM Hawaii time (11:00PM Pacific). The house we have is amazing. It's not exactly on the beach but has an amazing view so we can't complain. The pool may throw me over the edge with being the over obsessive mom but I'm sure it will be fine. This is the first time we've traveled with kids to a house with instant pool access instead of a Hotel. I think after our Tuesday night incident in the ER I'm just a little sensitive.
The incident...Many kids were over running and playing outside our house on Tuesday evening and even parents chit chatting. I was at the grocery store and David said he literally turned his head and saw Mia attempting to ride her bike down our driveway (NO HELMET!!!) he said he immediately started running for her but it was too late and she crashed. I know I'm so dramatic! Seriously I came in to the house with lots of crying and a HUGE egg on Mia's forehead where she hit the cement...YIKES. Since my childhood didn't consist of many hospital visits I was freaking out. David wanted to have an x-ray done but once we arrived at the ER the egg was decreasing. Mia was literally running around and the doctors were very glad to see she wasn't throwing up or was ever unconscious . This was after 2 hours of waiting. She woke up Wednesday morning looking a ton better & ready for our day of traveling.
This leads me to right now...I'm so enjoying my time relaxing on the couch (everyone is in bed) and my little girl is just fine! David is all pumped up to race his first race of the season this Saturday, the girls and I are just looking for some great pool/beach time, oh and cheering on our guy!
Olivia's class did a Mother's Day Tea/Fiesta theme for us moms. The fiesta part was to share some of their spanish songs and words they've been learning. It was very cute. Some of the dads were servers and the kids were so proud of their projects. The kids each had to make a portrait of their mom. Then the teachers asked them questions to help describe their mom. The questions were... What's your mom's favorite food/color? What's your mom's favorite thing to do? What does your mom like to do by herself? This question provoked some hilarious answers. What would you like to do for your mom on Mother's Day?
Some of my favorites... "my mom is never by herself, she is always with my brother and I. So for mother's day we are going to hang around her all day because I think that must make her the happiest." "my mom likes to watch tv and count her money." We all laughed hysterically at this one. "my mom's favorite thing to do is the laundry." "For mother's day I'd like to get my mom a Lightning McQueen car, because it's non violent and my mom would love that."

My cousin Shanna added twins to her family on April 23rd. The girls and I visited her this past weekend. She's doing great and the big sisters are a GREAT help too! Emery was the bigger baby at a whopping 7lbs 5oz and Zander weighed 6lbs 3oz. My cousin was happy to see them out!

Kira and Bella use to sing in our backyard together and our neighbors called them the singing dogs. Now, Kira has found a new buddy to sing with and I happen to catch it on video...ENJOY!
