Snow Day
It's safe to say that I might just get more excited than the kids do about snow days. Here they are bundled up and ready to hit the streets for some sledding. As of right now there is only a little snow left on the grass but we may be getting more according to the Winter Storm Watch 2008...gotta love the news!

Carlsbad Marathon
David and I completed the Carlsbad Marathon this weekend. I finished in 4:50 and David did great coming in at 3:57. My training partner Nichole also did awesome coming in at 4:21. We were all a bit sore but I was just so excited that I finished. There were a few times during the race where I thought "what the heck am I doing". Especially when I saw the guy wearing no shoes pass me!
Here is a picture of us at the finish line. Props have to be given to Nichole's husband who graciously was our team manager and drove us EVERYWHERE all weekend and cheered us on.

Here's a picture of the trophy David presented me with after the race. It was hilarious and very sweet!

Happy New Year!
We decided to take the girls sledding after the Christmas holiday. Of course I forgot the camera in the car but I was able to get one picture of the little ladies. We had lots of fun at Mt. Hood and there was a ton of fresh snow to play in! Yes, Mimi is a little mad in this photo. She hates posing for pictures.

Merry Christmas
Christmas morning was very exciting. Mia had a lego dollhouse from Santa. She has played non-stop with it.

Olivia was so excited that she got a cat. She had requested a real one but Santa told her that Kira might not love a cat in the house. This one meows and drinks from a bottle!

The girls in front of the tree. Olivia with her disgusting (it sheds everywhere) Hannah Montana wig and Mia with her cell phone making some calls.

Mia in her new robe from Aunt Jill & playing with her new barbie car.

Having fun with Papa and Gada (this is what Mia calls my mom).

Visiting with Santa
We went to a Kids Christmas Party that had Santa. Olivia sat and gave him her list. Mia wouldn't get with in two feet of him. I tried to hold her and be in the picture but that didn't work. I guess I'll have to cut and paste her in to the picture. However, Mia enjoyed the dessert portion of the event.

Olivia patiently waited in the long line to get her face painted...

First Loose Tooth!!!
December was an exciting month for us. Olivia got her first loose tooth. I thought it was a little early but the other tooth is busy pushing it's way in and pushing her baby tooth out. She's pretty excited that we might have a visit from the tooth fairy soon. This picture is before the loose tooth.

This one is after. You can see how there is a larger space between her two front teeth as the new tooth is busy pushing it out.

Olivia's Christmas Program
Olivia's class singing holiday songs.

Olivia had to announce the next song they were singing "Frosty the Snowman". In her hands she's actually holding the piece of paper her teacher gave to us to help her learn the lines. I thought it was funny she held the piece of paper since she can't read. She did great!

Each kid in the class had to come up with an idea to decorate their tree. Olivia came up with The Penny Tree. However, I thought we'd just stick a few pennies on the tree by gluing them to ribbon but she had a whole different idea. So, we spent one afternoon hot gluing the pennies to the tree. It was a pretty heavy tree.

Thanksgiving in Sunriver
We went to Sunriver for Thanksgiving with the Rosario Family. We didn't get any snow but it was so cold. The kids had a blast playing all together!
It's hot tub time...

Relaxing on the couch before bedtime.

This was the daily ritual to get ready to go outside. However, the kids never seemed to complain and even thought it snowed because there was frost on the ground.
