Happy Holidays!!!

We'd like to wish everyone a very happy holiday season. We are getting ready to head to Tokyo for Christmas. It's about time we visit the Rosario Family and celebrate Christmas Tokyo style...as our girls keep saying. Enjoy the holidays and happy new year!!!

The tooth fairy arrives!!!

Mimi lost her first tooth. It was hanging by a thread for about a week and a half. I thought it was funny once it came out she wouldn't even look at it or hold it. The next morning she ran in to the living room and said "the tooth fairy is real"...I guess there was some question in her mind.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was spent with both of our families heading to Stayton to celebrate together. It was so much fun! I think since the girls are getting older it just seemed to be a very relaxing day enjoying family.

Ironman Arizona

We were pretty excited to head to Arizona for some warm weather and to cheer on all the athletes. It wasn't exceptionally warm but it was warmer than Portland so it was nice. David was excited to see all his hard work pay off.

The next Ironman will be Ironman Texas in May. He had two weeks off and back on the horse...it's hard to not be inspired!

Halloween

Halloween night turned out to be a great evening. The weather held up and we enjoyed a fun evening of walking around the neighborhood. The girls both had parties at their schools and enjoyed wearing their costumes for multiple events. Mia was Snow White and Olivia was Daphne from Scooby Doo, however on Halloween day she switched it up to be Daphne with out the wig and vampire teeth. Whatever works!

Dancing Princess

Mia is taking tap and jazz. She has a blast at dance class and of course loves to tap. They are required to wear black tights and black ballet suit. This picture is taken from my phone but I thought it was too cute.

Soccer

Olivia is playing soccer. I think she enjoys the social aspect a bit more than actually learning the game. However, maybe that is just being a second grader. Her team is called the Blue Wolves and I thought this was a cute picture of them howling at one of the games.

Well still no luck on the house hunt but we're getting used to living in the apartment.

Olivia really enjoys helping with meals. Here's a picture of Olivia and David cooking a meal one night when we were having people over. She was very proud of her Chicken Cacciatore.



Mia was more interested in setting up the wine guy, Baby Huffington and herself for a photo.

11 Years

David and I celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary in Victoria, BC. It was a great weekend of relaxing, touring the beautiful city, eating great meals and enjoying each other!

We stayed at The Empress, a beautiful hotel!

Beaver Football begins...

with a new addition! Three of the families we tailgate with went in to purchase a Bus to travel to and from games together. It's literally a short Trimet bus. Now, it hasn't been decked out in Beaver gear yet but we did strip the Trimet stripes off and added some decals. It's pretty classy and yes it's wheelchair accessible.





Our Duck friends are glad it hasn't been painted yet as they have asked to rent it for one of their games. I know, I know but they are #1 in the country so we have to give them props.

First day of school...

Olivia started 2nd grade & Mia in Pre-K. They were both very excited for the first day and to go to their new schools. I thought the transition would be harder but both girls LOVED every minute of their first days!

I know it's been WAY too long. So here are some updates from the past couple months!

Mia turns 5!!!

Mia turned 5 on August 11th. She had a great day doing crafts and opening her presents from us. She was very excited to see she got a bed for her doll (Baby Huffington) and new clothes for Huffington. She continued the celebration at her birthday party this past Friday afternoon at our neighborhood park.

Camping with The Rosi's

The Rosario's were in town visiting from Tokyo. They took some time out of their very busy schedule to go camping with our family. It was great to hang out with them for 4 days and catch up on the past year and talk about our visit in December to Tokyo.

It was very hot while camping so we spent the majority of one of the days at the lake. Here's Olivia relaxing in her new short hair do.

Enchanted Forest

My friend Molly and I took our kids to The Enchanted Forest one Friday. It was so much fun! The kids loved every bit of it and it was so nice to be shaded by the sun that it was relatively cool throughout the park.

Olivia and Riley decided to go down the Log Ride. Now, we were a little nervous but they said they could do it by themselves. They had a blast!
